They will begin serving in August

The following new mission president and companion have been called to serve by the First Presidency. They will begin their service in August.

Rafael G. Gutiérrez and Georgina R. Gutiérrez | The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints

Rafael G. Gutiérrez, 47, and Georgina R. Gutiérrez, five children, Mendoza Ward, Santo Domingo Dominican Republic Oriental Stake: Chile Santiago North Mission. Brother Gutiérrez is a stake president and former stake presidency counselor, high councilor, bishop, bishopric counselor, high priests group leader, ward Young Men president, Primary teacher, MTC teacher and missionary in the Dominican Republic Santo Domingo West Mission. He was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, to Julio Gutiérrez Heredia and Aurelina Amalia Del Rosario Herrera.

Sister Gutiérrez is a ward Relief Society presidency counselor and institute teacher and former stake Relief Society president, stake Young Women secretary, ward Relief Society president, ward Young Women president, ward Primary president and Sunday School teacher. She was born in San Francisco de Macoris, Dominican Republic, to Rafael Parra and Esperanza Rosario Valerio.
