Three choirs provided music for the October 2023 general conference — The Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square, a multicultural choir from northern Utah and a young single adult choir from Utah County. They sang hymns, songs from the “Children’s Songbook” and other music, including “Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing” and “Faith in Every Footstep.”

Saturday morning session

The Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square — under the direction of Mack Wilberg and Ryan Murphy, with organists Andrew Unsworth and Richard Elliott — provided the music for the Saturday morning session on Saturday, Sept. 30. Ten singers from eight countries joined the 360-voice Tabernacle Choir during general conference.

‘Music & the Spoken Word’

The Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square presented its week “Music & the Spoken Word” broadcast immediately before the Sunday morning session of general conference on Sunday, Oct. 1. The choir and an ensemble from the Orchestra at Temple Square was directed by Mack Wilberg. They accompanied by organists Brian Mathias and Andrew Unsworth and Lloyd Newell presented the “Spoken Word” message.
