Elder Paul Hardin of San Antonio, Texas, died Monday night, May 20, from injuries sustained in a weekend accident that earlier claimed the life of his wife, Sister Mary Hardin.

"A temple is a beacon of light in a community, and it lifts us and invites us to the Lord so we can come to Him and enter in His covenant path," said Elder Gong.

Calling attention to the inscription "Holiness to the Lord," Elder Gong says, "I truly believe ‘holiness’ is both an invitation and a declaration."

Both are noteworthy, but not unique — Church has had more dedications in a shorter period, and leaders have done successive dedications previously.
