The First Presidency has called seven new temple presidents.
Maurice Dwight Bowman, 75, Dublan Ward, Colonia Dublan Mexico Stake; called as president of the Oaxaca Mexico Temple; succeeding President Howard Gerald Schmidt. President Bowman's wife, Petronella (Nellie) Gertruida Beuk Bowman, will serve as temple matron. President Bowman is a former stake executive secretary, stake Sunday School president, bishop's counselor and ward and stake choir director. He is a retired CES teacher and rancher. He was born in Colonia Dublan, Mexico, to Claudious and Jennie Stark Robinson Bowman.
Sister Bowman is a former assistant to the matron, Relief Society, Young Women and Primary presidents' counselor and Relief Society teacher. She was born in Hilversum, Netherlands, to Lourens and Johanna Berendina Kinkelman Beuk.
F. Cooper Jones, 71, Monticello 4th Ward, Monticello Utah Stake; called as president of the Monticello Utah Temple; succeeding President Lisle G. Adams. President Jones' wife, Colleen Westring Jones, will serve as temple matron. President Jones is a former temple president's counselor and sealer, regional welfare representative, stake president and counselor. He is a retired dairy products distributor and contractor. He was born in Monticello, Utah, to Cecil D. and Elva Cooper Jones.
Sister Jones is a former temple ordinance worker and assistant to the matron, Young Women president and leader and Relief Society counselor. She was born in Payson, Utah, to Raymond Theadore and Jean Dixon Westring.
Thomas F. Hooper, 70, Marion Ward, Adelaide Australia Marion Stake; called as president of the Adelaide Australia Temple; succeeding President Robert James Wilmott.
