Allan F. Packer biography

Family: Born July 7, 1948, in Brigham City, Utah, to Boyd Kenneth and Donna Edith Smith Packer. Married Terri Anne Bennett in the Salt Lake Temple on June 1, 1970. Parents of eight children: Jonathan (Jodee), Elizabeth Geilman (David), Stephen (Amy), Sara Bowers (Trebor), Michael (Rebecca), Robert (Stephanie), Matthew (Trulee), and Edward (Shawna).

Education: Bachelor's degree in electronic engineering technology from BYU.

Employment: In-field representative for the Church's missionary department. Vice president of various companies.

Church service: President of the Spain Malaga Mission, 2001-04; member of the Young Men general board; counselor in stake presidency; bishop; counselor in four bishoprics; Young Men president, Scoutmaster and high councilor.
