Most will begin their service in September

The following new temple presidents and matrons have been called to serve by the First Presidency. They will begin their service in September, with the exception of the leaders of the Moses Lake Washington Temple, who will begin when the temple is dedicated.

Steven Ball and Donna Ball | The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints

Steven Lorin Ball and Donna Jeanne Haag Ball, Collierville 1st Ward, Memphis Tennessee Stake, called as president and matron of the Memphis Tennessee Temple, succeeding President Robert G. McBride and Sister Nancy McBride. President Ball is a temple ordinance worker and patriarch and a former stake presidency counselor, high councilor and bishop. A retired consultant, he was born in Rexburg, Idaho, to Irvin Lorin and Margarite Ball.

Sister Ball is a Sunday school teacher, temple ordinance worker and scribe to the patriarch and a former stake and ward Young Women president and ward Relief Society president. She was born in Reading, Pennsylvania, to Donald George and Virginia Anne Haag.

Debra Bergeson and Paul Bergeson | The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints

Paul Wade Bergeson and Debra Ann Christensen Bergeson, Royal 2nd Ward, Othello Washington Stake, called as president and matron of the Moses Lake Washington Temple. President Bergeson is a patriarch and temple sealer and a former high councilor and bishop. A retired farmer, he was born in Caldwell, Idaho, to Elmo Judson and Alice Wiser Bergeson.

Sister Bergeson is a temple ordinance worker and a former stake and ward Relief Society presidency counselor. She was born in Ellensburg, Washington, to Jay Leroy Christensen and Erma Louise Christensen.

Reneé Roy Harding and Matthew S. Harding | The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints

Matthew Scott Harding and Reneé Roy Harding, Falls Lake Ward, Raleigh North Carolina Stake, called as president and matron of the Raleigh North Carolina Temple, succeeding President Mark A. Amacher and Sister Patti Amacher. President Harding is an Area Seventy and a former stake president, high councilor and bishop. A retired corporate officer and attorney, he was born in Salt Lake City to Raymond Murray Harding and Martha Rasmussen Harding.

Sister Harding is a Relief Society teacher and a former ARP support group leader, ward Relief Society president, ward Young Women president, ward Primary presidency counselor and temple ordinance worker. She was born in Chicago, Illinois.

Bruce E. Hobbs and Julia D. Hobbs | The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints

Bruce Edward Hobbs and Julia Dickerson Hobbs, Sawtooth Creek Ward, Meridian Idaho Settlers Park Stake, called as president and matron of the Meridian Idaho Temple, succeeding President Robert H. Sainsbury and Sister Marlies Sainsbury. President Hobbs is a Sunday School teacher and temple sealer and a former California Rancho Cucamonga Mission president, stake president, bishop and branch president. A retired director of university relations at Brigham Young University–Idaho, he was born in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Thaylon Rolla Hobbs and Mary Lu Hobbs.

Sister Hobbs is a stake Relief Society president and temple ordinance worker and a former mission president companion, stake Relief Society presidency counselor and ward Relief Society president. She was born in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, to Irvin Curtis Dickerson and Sarah Allene Dickerson.

Carolyn Jensen and Brent R. Jensen | The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints

Brent Robert Jensen and Carolyn Whitehead Jensen, Midland 2nd Ward, Midland Michigan Stake, called as president and matron of the Detroit Michigan Temple, succeeding President Kaplin Jones and Sister Lesley Jean Jones. President Jensen is an assistant temple recorder and a former high councilor and bishop. A retired Dow and Central Michigan University employee, he was born in Richfield, Utah, to Robert Soren Jensen and Marjorie Crane Jensen.

Sister Jensen is a ward temple and family history consultant and temple ordinance worker and a former ward Relief Society president and ward Young Women president. She was born in Twin Falls, Idaho, to Richard Eugene Whitehead and Theresa Ann Whitehead.

Ian D. McKie and Julie Catherine McKie | The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints

Ian David McKie and Julie Catherine Holland McKie, Crosby Ward, Liverpool England Stake, called as president and matron of the Preston England Temple, succeeding President Paul D. Martin and Sister Linda Martin. President McKie is a temple ordinance worker and elders quorum presidency counselor and a former stake presidency counselor, high councilor and bishop. A retired teacher, he was born in Barry South Wales to James McKie and Gillian Jacqueline Geraldine Smith.

Sister McKie is a ward Relief Society president and temple ordinance worker and a former stake and ward Young Women president and ward Primary president. She was born in Manchester England, to Thomas Henry Holland and Norma Catherine Shaw.

Richard Miller and Linda Miller | The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints

Richard Quentin Miller and Linda Lee Fairbanks Miller, Midway Ward, Winslow Arizona Stake, called as president and matron of the Snowflake Arizona Temple, succeeding President Mike Seaman and Sister Kim Seaman. President Miller is a temple sealer and a former temple presidency counselor, stake president and bishop. A retired Arizona Public Service manager, he was born in Holbrook, Arizona, to Jay Ninian Miller and Illa Claire Hunt Miller.

Sister Miller is a temple ordinance worker and a former assistant to the matron, ward Relief Society president, ward Young Women president and ward Primary president. She was born in Edmonton, Canada, to Lee Stevenson Fairbanks and Vivia Margaret Fairbanks.

Guy Schiessl and Karen Schiessl | The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints

Guy Richard Schiessl and Karen Elizabeth Swanson Schiessl, Fargo 3rd Ward, Fargo North Dakota Stake, called as president and matron of the Bismarck North Dakota Temple, succeeding President Joel Ransom and Sister Patricia Ransom.
